The Shavers are used to open the intervertebral space to allow placement of hardware or biocompatible radiolucent PEEK implants to maintain proper vertebral positioning. The Shavers are used to loosen or remove disc material from the endplate. They come in a progression of sizes from 7mm to 14mm allowing the space to be gradually increased.
